URealms Live Season 2 - "Woodcarvers": Post-show Discussion

The execution was excellent all-around, from a revamped inventory system, to extremely engaging characters, a much more fluid Puppet Pals engine, clutch rolls, evil Rob outta nowhere, INSANE story turns... There's too many great moments to count.

There's really only two things that I can really criticize about this Season so far.

The first is the eyes on the new Puppet Pals. Overall, this new style is interesting and I'm excited to see what can come from it, but those eyes seriously needed some touching up. The eyes should not be facing anywhere but in front of the character, because it's extremely distracting for a character to be giving the audience a thousand yard stare, or for a character to be looking in the opposite direction of where they're speaking (Deadbone's son being the worst offender). A few revamps here and there on the eyes specifically would go a LOOOONG way. (Also Coe's mouth was creepy, they should stick with the original mouths for the original puppets).

Second was the Card Events. Specifically, Phineas. As it stands I believe it's too early to decide if it needs any major tweeks numbers-wise, so I'm not referring to that. I mean Phineas himself on the sidebar. Simply put, he's distracting when he's animated. It was charming at first, but as the campaign went on it took away a lot of attention from the action onscreen. This was reflected in chat as well, with an unhealthy amount of attention being given to Phineas, rather than the combat or any RP that's occurring. I'm not sure what the best way to address this would be, but I had to point it out.

Besides that, I can't complain! It's a terrific start, and I'm excited to see the next episode when (hopefully) some of the kinks are ironed out!
