USA - Do I HAVE to arbitrate?

I appreciate your help, but I've been down that road. I have been to somewhere around 40 attorneys in the last year and a half as my case has developed and gotten more and more complicated. I've even had some sign contracts with me, and then break them right before they would actually have to put work in. I am now approaching one of the statute of limitations of one of my claims. Honestly all that is left is for me to Pro Se. Did I mention that I'm also a single mother fighting locally advanced cancer? Believe me, when you speak of leg work you have no idea what you are talking about. Early on, I was told I had a case but without the tangible employment action of termination, they wouldn't take my case. (this despite case law stating that retaliation need NOT be economic) Then, they suspended me in the middle of my chemotherapy for a simple oversight made a year earlier, and then literally fired me FOR having cancer. (Being "too sick" to work, 4 hours after my FML ran out) They were humiliated by the papers into taking me back, where they put me in a closet and took away all my job duties, where I've sat for 6 months, given a bad review for my previous work, illegally denied more FML under the pretense that I did not qualify....need I go on? Apparently if I had LET them fire me completely, lawyers would have taken my case, then. But when you figure out how a single mother in cancer treatment can go without pay and benefits and still have any hope of surviving, you let me know. I simply cannot accept that what I have had to go through while simultaneously fighting for my life, will go unpunished. It is possible I might not survive seeing this through, but I feel that I must, if only to try to make sure my daughter never has to go through something like this. I had surgery last week, and now I've been told I must have more surgery in the next month or so, and the clock is ticking on my case.
