I don’t think so. There’s a pretty big curb and then the box sits a bit uphill from there. It’s also a pretty small & short street that’s usually lined with parked cars. I mean they say anything’s possible, but I just can’t see how someone could really build up enough speed or even have room for that level of a catastrophe. This was quite a large sturdy thing with a big metal base stuck down into a square of concrete.

My husband just mentioned that in addition to the backhoe, he also saw a truck that appeared to be a city truck (with the logo or whatever on the side). I guess that would mean it’s the USPS that did this? I don’t see the city coming out for something the HOA wanted to do. But then again I don’t understand how or why the USPS wouldn’t notify us if it were them.
