Super late to the party (this sub doesn't always hit my feed), the base is super empty in terms of space to building ratio and how spread apart stuff can be. The entire mission focuses around the cadets so it's dead on weekends and after 4 or so. Small bx, small commissary, one elementary school. Couple food court restaurants up by the chapel but they get mobbed by students. South Gate (near housing) is 24/7 but still a good 10 to 15 minutes to anything of note off base. If you're enlisted there aren't a ton there to begin with and a lot live off base so it might feel a little empty. The base has pretty lax cac policies so it's easy to bring guests back, do what you will with that.
