It was as is with the remainder of the manufacturers warranty. We were told it was traded to them from a local resident, which has been proven false.

Since writing the original post, Nissan has provided plenty of proof of the car’s conditions, including a video they took of the sludge draining from the oil pan. We have text messages from the service advisor confirming that they auctioned the vehicle because it needed an engine, the documents where they evaluated the car and noted the condition, and a video documenting the condition of the oil.

Owned several nissans, never had a sludge problem. No vehicle should have what was described in the documents and shown in the video at 29000 miles.
