I used to defend the Kia Stinger adamantly, but the Kia dealers have worn me down.

Dealerships really need to put more effort into customer service. They are the part of the brand that consumers interact with and are going to base their opinions on. A few years back my father dropped his Hyundai pickup off at a Hyundai dealership for a service. They were so strict about security that it took an additional half an hour just to sign in and register your fingerprints before you could drop your car at the service department. Now normally I am not someone who will complain about a company being strict with security, especially if my vehicle is staying on their premises over night, but when we collected the vehicle we noticed that BOTH of our license plates had been removed by the service department and we needed to argue with them before they would even bother reattaching them. During our ride home after that I happened to open the glove box and find a lock picking kit specific to VW group cars lying there. When my father phoned them to alert them of this kit they insisted that we return it as it belonged to a locksmith that they hired to unlock a VW caddie in their used car department. Considering that they couldn’t explain why it was in our car which was down in the service department or why they also removed the license plates, we thought it was best not to return it and rather report it to the police.
