It isn’t theft, ffs. It never was. The word is inspiration, not stealing. Not theft. I’m dnd as long as you don’t publish it it’s fine this said in writing it’s NOT stealing. It’s inspiration, stealing insinuates straight up copying or plagiarism… no book is unique because it was all inspired by a person, event, place or story (IE the shining if I remember right was based on the hotel he was staying at at the time he started writing) that doesn’t mean he stole the hotel. Me most of my characters in my book are inspired by my favorite characters from books and mixed with people I personally know or bits of myself. It’s got 0 to do with theft and it’s a pity people have no basic understanding of this.
