Hey thanks for taking the time to reply, it sounds like you have a very comprehensive understanding of where I'm at here and a level-headed assessment of it.

I've gotten complaints in the past, but as of late nothing from other members of the community.

In reading these comments, thinking about it further, and de-grumpyfying with my first cup of coffee, I've begun to think that I should PM the user to further address this before I would consider taking any further action.

Another frustrating tidbit- I just activated self-assignable user flair in my sub, and he has set his to promote his own small cycling subreddit. It's not a directly competing sub, but that's a good microcosmic example of my frustration in this user's benefiting from the resources of my sub while simultaneously disapproving of it and promoting his own.
