Users or losers ?

I start making a distinction when it goes from "Seriously annoying family member, fuck this shit" to "My client is a lazy piece of shit! Fuck him! I told him to run Linux 9000 times!"

Dude, if you want me to let you have admin access - and I would've given it to you any-fucking-way and spent the time to write up an A4-sized warning about things to worry about...

Fine, dammit.

Client. That's the operative, and that's where it crossed the line for me.

There's plenty that would shit on me for not immediately and enthusiastically upgrading to Windows 10. Others that think FreeBSD is the One True God. A fraction hail from the GNU/FSF camp.

That's fine, casually. But to just go "My client is a moron, fuck him" and so forth - that betrays a severe lack of comprehension for their needs.

Maybe they don't give a shit if they blow it up periodically - 'cuz you're there, and they're happy with that arrangement.

Good for you - repeat business, and predictable at that.

Sorry, man, but if OP understood a fraction of this, he'd never have gone off on the "fuck the client!" shit - and if he had any candor, he'd have explained why he's so irate.

Stinks like bullshit from someone with blinders on, it does.

Some people don't want Linux - some do - in my case, to compare dick lengths...people that'd been alive between '85 and '00 - but never used one.

They love lamp. But brain plasticity and learning goes to shit real fast, and I got lucky with them not having things to unlearn.

OP's client might just not-give-a-fuck and be successfully making 800k a year and just consider this a business cost.

OP should take the money and run.

Meh.
