[uSTADIUM] Ravens close to signing RB Mark Ingram to a deal around $8M APY per @RapSheet on NFL Network.

He won't sit out again. He's just going to eat some crow and realize that he fucked up.

Though to be fair there's mutiple things that hurt him here.

1) How well Conner played for us in Bell's absence. GM's took note of that and Bell himself was 2nd round pick. You can usually get a good back if you want one. So why overpay for one?

2) Gurley got his deal and then his tires went flat when it mattered most for his team. Not Gurley's fault. But GM's again are going to pay attention to that. Why would you overpay, never mind overpay with guaranteed money, for a RB?

Bell is 27. Has knee injury history. Has drug suspensions (though are those reset by now and his next won't get him a full year?). Point is, he has baggage. He's sat out a year over money and contract disputes. He has an ego. He'll get paid, but his position is not nearly as solid as, say, AB's was to leverage himself into the contract that he imagines he's worth.
