Utopia (2013) - Apartheid is deep within Australia's past and present. Aboriginal people are still living in abject poverty and Third World conditions, with a low life expectancy and disproportionately high rate of deaths in police custody [01:50:21]

Don't they literally suggest forced assimilation and then justify it by saying that they've got jobs, mortgages, kids (?), and iPhones (the great symbol of capitalism) when they've acknowledged the heart if the issue is removal from their culture?

Like I'm not Australian so I can't really say much but the above is very suspicious. I've commented else my breakdown of the comment but there's something else that I can't quite put my finger on. Like I wouldn't read that and go "oh this isn't person definitely isn't right wing". It feels sus for lack of a better wording.

Maybe decolonisation is very different over the ditch but none of those proposed solutions fit that, or are missing very big points. Like there's literally no mention of asking the tribes what they want.
