Uwe Boll says goodbye to Hollywood and says "fuck you all" after 3 unsuccessful crowdfunding campaigns.

I guess he lives in Canada, unless he's moved recently, which makes me feel ashamed that he's here and got his success through a tax loophole. And shame on Germany for doing something like that. Good for you to want to support your own filmmakers, but at the very least hire a board to determine which films and filmmakers actually deserve funding support. This seems to be a gross example of getting away with it over and over and over again and no lessons being learned.

I don't like being a negative person or the type to trash someone, but Boll deserves it. To pretty much commit borderline fraud and then throw a hissy-fit because he can no longer get funding, is disgusting. What you create doesn't have enough interest to generate funding. Simple as that. Either create something better that people want or move on. Boll acts as if it was law that we all reach into our pockets and pass him a toonie.

Before seeing his name pop up in articles after his Youtube tirade, I'd never even heard of him. I watched the trailer for Rampage 3 and was unimpressed. There was nothing in the trailer that was even remotely interesting or gave me any kind of desire to watch the movie. It just seemed to be grey/drab footage mixed with a lot of explosions and fake gunfire. As for the Kickstarter page, I took a look at it too and I actually thought that his KS campaign for Rampage 3 was successful or at least on the way to successful. He was half way to his goal, with this bland trailer and not very desirable perks. That is impressive. I've seen some KS projects that were half funded actually reach their goal in just the last 2 days of their campaign. This could have potentially happened with Boll's movie, until he unleashed his hatred on Youtube, quickly hammering in countless nails into the coffin that now sealed the fate of the campaign.

This guy needs to learn some hard lessons and so as not to feed the troll and give him unnecessary attention, it's time that he goes back to that dusty bargain bin in the corner filled with forgotten directors.
