So they can get their work done, also they are doing what the goverment tells them to. Dont blame the police blame the government for making them do it. People have their reasons for keeping something secret such as a situation of a potential deadly disease outbreak and the government is close to curing it but the ensuing panic of making it public will end up doing more harm than good. Another thing you mentioned was that they arent solving the root causes such as poverty. How in the fuck are they supposed to do that?
