v1.04 update, 740mb?

Aye but that was regarding an issue that wired PS4 pads had (extra delay compared to all other input devices).

The input lag issue has become very muddled IMO. I don't even know if people know what they're on about any more (not you personally).

The game is registering about 7f input delay across all platforms offline. The PS4 version had the potential for 8f if you used a wired pad. That is fixed as of v1.03 so all platforms are technically identically offline now according to Namco.

Now, the other issue is that there was a myth going around that the dev team artificially set the offline delay at 7f to make it closer to the online experience, and understandably most offline players would rather not have this happen. However, some twitter replies not so long ago (don't have link, sorry) claimed that it wasn't done on purpose and that it is a natural product of the unreal engine and the code it is running on.

So apparently it's not artificially higher than it needs to be, but without a doubt it's higher than previous games (almost double the delay of T5). This is natural however due to the increased complexity of the game/engine, and to quote "it is an unfair comparison".

That leaves us with a situation that I perceive as: there's currently no issue between the different platforms any more, but the team are still looking at potentially cutting off some more time across more platforms by optimising as much as possible. This is good news in general.

As for the online scenario, the consoles are simply worse because the amount of players on WIFI is significantly higher, and because console online infrastructure is generally less robust. There's no further specific console input delay issue to online other than these factors as far as I'm aware, which can be further improved with some server/netcode updates I presume.
