Vacation home

I have one due to complete next year. It’s a beach condo on a VHCOL high tourist island, where I also happen to be from (so have family there).

It will be about 4-5k per month, but my plan is to run it as a professional holiday rental/retreat. On the island all holiday apartments are fully booked at 200-400/night between about March and Oct every year, so that’ll cover mortgage and management, or at least most of it.

I hate the hot weather and generally see family in the winter so I’ll be doing 2-3 week stints there every other month but mostly in the off-season.

If it didn’t have the holiday let potential then I probably wouldnt do this.
