Valerian - Final Trailer

Out of all those films, Valerian is the only one I have any interest in seeing. Planet of the Apes is just not an appealing series to me, Dunkirk looks good but you have to be in a particular mindset to go see it, Dunkirk is not a "Go and eat popcorn with your pals and enjoy!" kind of flick, which is what makes the most money.

As for the last one, this is the third new Spiderman series in less than 20 years, not to mention there's already a lot of comic-book-movie fatigue set in for a lot of people. People know Spiderman already, but because it's yet another reboot of the same series they're gonna do the origin story, that we've already seen plenty of. Let me predict the movie:

Uncle Ben dies, Peter is a nerd/outcast of some kind but he likes taking pictures, and Mary Jane and him become friends in some way, then on a trip he gets bit by a radioactive spider, becomes Spiderman, meanwhile some dickhead is doing crime and gets foiled in some way by Spiderman and he takes it really personal. Then there's a lot of personal conflict with Spiderman trying to balance life and being Spiderman, everyone's mad at him, the big bad kidnaps Mary Jane or Aunt May, with great power comes great responsibility, bad guy beaten, everyone's happy. woo.

Every friend I've mentioned it to thinks Valerian looks "kinda weird and kinda neat" and if you mention it's by The Fifth Element guy they get way more into it. I think it'll do at least decently, I really hope it does well.
