Validating an idea for a target audience I don't belong to

the thing is, maybe he's not wrong but cafe owners are wrong. who wouldn't want a subscription to their favorite coffee place - if you're a regular and that's how you enjoy spending your time and money. a subscription only pulls you closer in, making you feel even more at home.

so to me, i would view the problem as cafe owners are unsavvy, and in a position to lose. instead of approaching cafe's at will, i'd target specific ones with a key demographic. probably young owners, tech savvy, really in-tuned with their customers, boutique esq.

or i'd build my own, and support the platform with local ads.

my unhumble opinion is that cafe owners especially don't know what they want, or even need. i would build the product and shove it down the markets throat if i believed in it. a lot of people say listen to you customers, well cafe owners aren't even your customers, technically the coffee order is your customer and that's who you should be appeasing to.
