Valve, it's been over 250 days since the last hero was released.

This is literally the only time I've seen someone positively reference league, and even that was shut down by someone pointing out that Riot doesn't develop anything other than new champions, which is part of why their game is so much worse.

Thank god you used the world literally.

The "shutdown" post was an aimless straw man. League is aware of things like third parties. Why waste resources on a voice client when Curse works fine. Replays are all over the fucking place.

I mean we could point out that Dota2 has some of the worlds most shittastic customer service around, or like the criticism in this thread, it doesn't release new champs when they're even already made for it. Dota also has it's own issues like a dwindling player base (huh, guess ya do need content)

League may be "so much worse" but Dota2 peaks below a million players a day, and league, which has only grown, was peaking at 7.5 million players almost 2 years ago.

League is also simply far more successful, this article is a little old, but since then with Dota down players and League up players, it's only gotten worse.

Fan boys on forums say one thing, but wallets say another.

Don't get me wrong, I like Dota2 a lot, but it's less than a quarter of the size of League, and that's not some magic spell cast by Riot. It's the free market baby.

But you go by what people say in subreddits, I'm sure all those numbers are just... massive absurd outliers.

But really, it's silly to have this little epeen shit, ranting and raving about some other game being shit, or how much better the game you like is. They're both great games, I enjoy playing both, and I don't see any reason to sling mud around, especially up hill.
