Vancouver Driver PSA.

Many drivers have no idea how their accessories including lights function in their vehicle. They just get into their car, put on their seat-belt (because it's the law), insert their key (or press the start button) and drive. Very few people actually look at their centre console anyway and are oblivious if it's not lit up when driving in the dark.

Worst of all, Transport Canada refuses to make it mandatory for vehicle manufacturers to have auto sensing rear and front lights. As far as high beams go, there should be brief beeps to warn the driver they have turned on the high-beams. Sometimes people engage their high beams accidentally when making a turn or signalling a lane change.
