Vault Hunters 1.18, (One Step Forward, Two Steps Back)

I agree. I don't see how people are having fun with grinding vaults this season. Room after room it looks just like the last. Unless I happen to get a special roon, Omega or trapped those are when I'm actually interested. I have tons of average items but no rare stuff. It sounds about right, but it's not. My chest is full of "useful" stuff that has no use to me till later in the game because I don't have any complex mod unlocked. To which it feels like it takes me forever to get the materials for one knowledge point because the diamonds are rare or I'm low on essence. Ik I'm only level 16 but I feel like all I can do to progress at this point is to use hunter to look for living chests to unlock another mod, or to use everything I can for better gear. That way I can search faster and faster. The POIs were an interesting idea but I miss the dopamine. I get so excited when I complete a vault only to be disappointed because I didn't get anything unique for my level. Like I have nothing to look forward till I'm at the higher levels as in about level 30. I felt this in 1.16 very b4 level 10. It sucks. Don't get me wrong I love the ideas, though turns out the exsocution not so much. I do love this pack. It just doesn't feel like progress is happening it feels as if I'm digging for chromatic iron only going through caves. Like I'm technically making progress but I have no reward no dopinine. At least with the last pack going brought a vault was interesting, you never knew what the next room would be. What loot it could hold. Sure the idea of themes was great but these theams are doing the opposite its supposed to. I go from room to room looking around "oh comon, comon, ornate neet, sheet I activated the comon now I gotta deal with this, well I might as well loot it." Or if I skip it I get he other chests loot. But it's not even worth it unless I'm lucky as I have very little use for the average loot I get. As their use is for mods but I don't have many mods. It's been a pain to get the 4 I do have. I feel like the way Iskall and his team could fix the lack of dopinine would be to do a mixture of themes and random rooms. How? By having the unique rooms not necessarily be Omega or epic for loot. Like in the pirate one there's an x mark the spot. What about an oasis that has living chests only. Nothing more no increased rarely for them just the living vault trait in one room. (Don't worry gonna put that in the discords suggestions chat eventually after I iron the idea out more) though if that does get fixed in some way then we need loot adjustment.
