I’ve heard Christians talk about the importance of being involved in politics and I’ve heard the opposite...

For the most part, people appear to have no faith and there's only one way to fix that and it's as far from "sociopolitical" as you can get.

Faith is absolutely personal. It's either cultivated by the individual or it's not and it's absence creates a vacuum that fills one with the most common and abundant sociopolitical ideas - i.e. contaminants - by which one is surrounded about how to escape or otherwise protect oneself from one's God. Whether by political, religious or social oppression - or all of the above.

If you have discovered religion can't tame God and are wondering if you can beat him with politics, go for it. Give it a whistle. See what happens.
