Veganism won’t save us or our planet!

What do you guys think?

I will never stop telling people not to eat animals.

Tbh I don't care how it comes across, or if people view it as extreme. I am so consistently and utterly disgusted by what we do to animals that advocating for anything but complete abolition feels like a betrayal to the animals I've personally rescued, and to the ones I'm powerless to help.

I make an effort to be polite in conversations, and to empathize with people and their challenges. I recognize that I once ate animals as well, and I approach conversations from a compassionate perspective. But at the same time I cannot and will not applaud someone for making the minuscule change of not eating cows when that's all they're going to do. I won't pat someone one the back who expects me to be proud of "baby steps" or to be happy that "every little change helps."

Not eating cows doesn't help the chickens, and not eating chickens doesn't help the fish. Unless someone is working towards veganism, I won't congratulate baby steps or be happy that they've taken up the most minor of inconveniences. Abolition is the only truly just path forward. That it's a lofty goal just means we need to keep our heads up and not forget what we're working for.
