Vegans of Reddit, what food is surprisingly vegan/not vegan?

You have A LOT of free time. You could use it to think about things that would be useful for you in the future, but instead I see a lot of people using their free time for recreational activities. This is weird because these are the same people who are working hard now and will need all this extra energy when they retire. Why do humans work so much? The reason appears to be cultural conditioning, which encourages them to optimize for doing what makes others happy today at a high cost tomorrow, rather than pursuing what makes themselves happy now and postponing gratification as long as possible. And yet you chose to lecture me about having no hobbies. Irony.
