I can understand the stock footage but not a feature like text to speech which is even on the tools menu.

It’s not really a dealbreaker for me because I probably won’t ever use it. The literature to convince me to upgrade made it seem like it was a new feature. It’s not even that big of a deal in the general scheme of things. It just feels misleading.

Especially when they make deals with Boris to include their packages for basically nothing. Seems like they could swing some simple deal with Microsoft

Vegas Pro 19 is 399. It’s discounted right now for 359. If you can’t give all features to all users then make the purchasing price more. Or giving a discount for the upgrade shouldnt be thought as doing us a huge favor. Buying something outright shouldn’t cut you off from something like text to speech. If they’re going to change their business model to pure subscription based go ahead and do that so I can just make do with my old version. I won’t be upgrading again.

I don’t like subscription based models just as a principle.
