WSU fans talk shit every single year for the whole year all the way up until the Apple Cup, and then fall inevitably silent before whining about UW fans being arrogant. I distinctly remember tons of Coug fans expecting a blowout this year before yet another expected outcome. It's like clockwork.

It would be one thing if the majority of UW fans were bragging about being on the same tier as the Clemsons and Alabamas and tOSUs of the world (nothing could be further from the truth). But expecting to win the conference is not arrogance. It's the new standard of expectation that has been raised by Petersen, because the program, from a talent and coaching perspective, should have no excuses from doing so, especially with USC in turmoil.
