[Vent] USPS worker delivered a package inside my building to my apartment door holding mace ready to fire on my puppy

If your dog was in anyway aggressive or perceived to be (which to me would just be protective) then I could perhaps understand one mace.

Yet clearly, this isn't the first time this UPS worker has been to your apartment, she has the code, right? Logically, she's therefore also seen your dog before. And ever had any reason to be afraid.

Look, I do wonder if it's a different culture, in that I'm in AUS and it's a different postal system here, I haven't ever heard of anyone other than police or women in the city alone carrying mace. I could be wrong.

And yes, I know dogs can attack.

But three mace sprays? And she was ready to spray your dog? Who she's seen before?

Personally I'd be complaining. Yes, protect yourself UPS lady. But three mace sprays aren't going to do much if a dog is attacking. You'll be able to spray one. But three? That's just excessive to me and would warrant a complaint.

Apologies, this is just my opinion in this one particular situation. I'm not condoning the use of personal protection. I simply don't understand the need for three or the belief that a dog known to her would warrant needing to be half ready to spray.
