(venting) how do you deal with the sheer hatred people online deploy towards game devs for no reason ?

I think one of the issue is publisher marketing departments doing their thing to max out pre-orders regardless of whether they are bullshitting people. I have seen it many times, marketing teams not knowing a single thing about the product or how its development is going, promising the moon, basing the entire narrative on a game's weakest points or on features that are not sure to even exist at any future time. Fabricating "gameplay trailers" in after FX that do not reflect the user experience. I could keep going but you get the point. This effectively does entitle people who invested good money in buying the game, to at least have the promises delivered. But even outside of that, I am talking more generally. Even a game that over-delivers on its promises will see its devs personally targeted by the hateful circlejerk. It's crazy.
