The verdict is in. I like margaritas.

Can I ask you a question? (I'll go ahead and ask anyway)

Not that I care at all about anyone enjoying a drink (and it has ZERO impact on how I admire you and everything you have done and continue to do), I just wonder about posting this publicly given your very unique status. As far as I can tell, TBMs look for any lame excuse to invalidate your fantastic work. For example, my TBM coworkers went on a rant after you were excommunicated about how "the church already changed the policy, all this ex-bishop wants to do is cause a scene over nothing!" -- obviously, their views were far from the truth and heavily biased... But by all means, you were a living example of what the Church actually teaches people to be, so their complaints fall flat under scrutiny.

Back to the point, I imagine someone like my coworkers, my mother, or my siblings seeing this photo and viewing you as someone who truly had ill-intent about the church. I can hear my mom's voice in my head saying "Regardless if he can go to the temple or not, if he truly believe the words of the lord, he'd continue to honor the word of wisdom."

By all means, I think you deserve a drink (all 4 of em!). I'm just curious to know what your thoughts are on the inevitable TBM backlash for those still watching and trying to find reasons to discredit you as a person.

In conclusion, do you feel it's necessary to maintain an LDS approved lifestyle to maintain credibility among members who are willing to challenge the status quo? Or have you achieved your goals within the church and feel you are on your own journey of faith from here?
