Hello, just thought I'd share my point of view on this. I moderate /r/pins4skins (a reddit where people come to buy or sell pins they got from majors). Pins cannot be traded in-game. A person has to use a code, then it is bound to their account which means either you firstly get the code and you can run away with items or you give your items and risk not receiving the code. So what does that have to do with any of these? I'll show you 2 cases of ours:

First one is about a guy impersonating NRG just9n. He added people selling and convinced them he is the real one by tweeting @ them. Obviously the twitter was fake as well, but he had followers and it looked somewhat alike. After he received the codes, he just blocked the guys. He scammed ~5-10 people even after we blacklisted him and announced everyone. The scammed codes were worth almost $1000. Here are some screenshots (from guys that got scammed):

Second one is someone impersonating me. This is my account and this is his account. It doesn't look similar right now because I did my best to use the rarest badges, operation coins and backgrounds I had, but at first he made it look identical. He scammed @ $300, he is still active but people no longer fall for it.
