You're reading far too much into it. He's not threatening to run anybody off the track or into an accident. And the title of this post doesn't do justice to what he actually said. This is more like me in traffic, thinking to myself "if that jerk cuts me off one more time, I'll punch him in the nose". But then I would never really punch someone in the nose.

If you see the attitude in the interview, he's just upset. Straight after the race. Didn't get out of it what he wanted. Emotions still affected by the adrenaline. Meh. Get the interview 10 minutes later and it will be different. If these guys weren't trying to go to the absolute limit of everything they do, and if they weren't as ultra-competitive as they are, they would have no place in F1.

That said, there are plenty of ways to explain the first corner, all of them reasonable in their own way. And I personally find some of the late moves to be a bit too much on the edge for my liking. But that's me. Does make for interesting moments though, after years of complaining about clean DRS-driven overtakes.
