Very confused about both calorie intake and weights

Thank you so much for the detailed reply, I didn't expect this kind of thing at all, it was super kind of you to take the time to respond to every question I have!

Originally, I read via the LeanGains website that taking BCAA's when training whilst fasted is better than training completely fasted anyway and will still keep you in the same kind of fasted state for the benefits. Is this wrong? I fast from 9pm to 1pm and in that time only have BCAA's, is it better to just drop them in that case?

Got it - So I should regularly weigh myself in order to know how many calories I need to have at maintenance, then start with a small caloric surplus of around 300 in order to begin to build muscle. I will mess around with doing 10 reps or so at higher weights, too.
