Very sick for months, yet I weigh over 250lbs..

I don't eat meat for ethical reasons.

I do great with most green veggies(particularly broccoli) and always have. My current illness is present regardless of what I eat but I do know what otherwise healthy foods make me ill. I've had countless flareups in the past due to eating healthy foods and it's quite frustrating. I do fine with the soy free/dairy free protein supplements I take as well but agree these can be a problem for a lot of people. Ultimately, yeah.. we're all different.

I only drink water. I avoid fruit and eggs as well. I agree with going on a food elimination diet and logging everything. That's good advice that I've taken in the past. Nothing has seemed to help for my current symptoms, though. Even not eating hasn't removed these symptoms.

I agree with the comments about "healthy foods," as well. As someone who worked in the industry, it was a source of frustration. I would love nothing more than to simply eat "healthy"(definitions vary, of course).

We buy baby wipes in bulk.. lol. As someone who is obsessed with personal hygiene, they're the next best thing to a shower.

I certainly don't worry about working out too much. I was able to take an hour long hike recently on a good day a week ago and I try to take advantage of those days. There haven't really been any, aside from that, since this recent bout of illness. I have fibromyalgia as well as some other medical problems but I still don't see that as an excuse not to exercise, and feel quite badly about it.

I've known many bodybuilders, and one powerlifter. And, as I've said, I've had many years of my caloric intake being 1000-1400, with much more physical activity. I keep close attention to what I eat and it's currently very easy because.. it's not much. I know it's common to do so but I'm not missing any calories here. There's no unaccounted for butter, sugar, and so on. "I have had weeks of only eating 300-400 calories recently(oral surgery) and am currently consuming around 900 calories a day." Everything I consume is done so in front of my partner, who remains baffled even after being with me for years. I truly wish it were as simple as caloric intake. For many, it is, though I have sympathy for them as well. I really wish I could just cut down on what I eat or eliminate "bad foods" from my diet. I lost a good amount of weight as a teenager through a massive amount of exercise and eating more frequently, only to gain it back quickly when I developed a medical condition/the first GI stuff(I labeled it IBS as I didn't have insurance).
