Very simple explanation for the struggles

Kemba and Smart being out so much has definitely been a killer. I would also say Tatum has not been good enough. I'm 100% giving him a pass. He got the plague and this whole season is weird. I have not changed my opinion on his potential one iota. But he hasn't been as good as Embiid, Giannis, Harden or Butler. He's been similar to Hayward, Randle, Trae and LaVine. Playing with AAAA players like Grant, Semi and Teague doesn't help, but he also just hasn't been hitting shots at the same rate he was last year. If Tatum can get back to who he was in February 2020 & in the bubble things will look a lot better. And he has been showing signs lately so I certainly agree that the team could be dangerous by the playoffs. They could also go out with a whimper, but all the hand wringing about depth is a little overblown. Stars are what matter.
