So basically CIG wants you to stop self destructing your ship, ignoring how many times you had no choice due to the bugs and they want to do this, so that your ship feels more valuable to you.

Yet in practice you still lose your ship all the time and now you have to constantly switch between your ships, making your ship feel even more of just some vehicle you have to switch around.

I think they need to introduce ways to recover our ships, like some NPC taxi that can transport you back to the last location of your ship or even some basic autopilot for your ship that would bring it back to the next major space station, so you can QT there and board it again.
