Vet shut the bs’er down realquick

I have healthy paws (not an ad, shop around just had a friend who had it and they paid for his dogs brain surgery) and it depends on where you are. Where I am now it’s $60 a month and goes up a little bit each year (but they’ll never drop you, and pay for hip dysplasia after a year (I have a shepherd so this was important). After your deductible they pay 80% I think, again minus preventative care (so basic visit, heartworm meds, spay/neuter, etc).

So far they paid for my dog having to spend overnight in an emergency vet for eating something he shouldn’t have and for having 2 teeth removed….probably again for eating something he shouldn’t have like a rock. Depending on the dog it could pay for itself pretty quickly. Again, didn’t have it on my old dog but wouldn’t hesitate to get it, even though she probably would have never really needed it (only cancer treatments at the end were all I ever really had to spend on her from a surprise perspective). New guy is a special sort of happy.
