Veteran

check out my previous chance me post here on reddit.

Granted I have a strong background: - CPA, 2 years public accounting - 3.3 GPA from pretty good private uni - Specwar drop (BUDs) - my GMAT was TERRIBLE (590)

My cycle went as follows: - Accepted: UCI, UCD, UCSD, SMU, - WL: Georgetown, Vandy, Emory Dinged: UCB, USC, Michigan

Honestly I probably could've gotten off the WL at Vandy/Emory. Vandy was about to give me an acceptance and take me off.

Happily matriculating to UCI next fall and they even gave a $5K military scholarship. It felt like the best fit, I loved the school, the people, the vets. I'm targeting FLDPs so I'll be fine with a T40ish program.

But for you, right now I'd solely focus on CRUSHING that GMAT. Anything above a 670 and your in good shape. I've spoken with prior enlisted Army & AF that are at UNC,Vandy, Emory with average enlisted experience (not specwar/pilot/sexy jobs) with 630s/640s that got in.

So sure, your UG institution may not be the best... but you bring a unique perspective coming from the E background regardless what anyone says (yeah programs are O heavy but the E gives a different view of how things are run, operations, etc). If you attain a good GMAT score, I'd shoot your best shot for some T25s/T40s.

Happy to help with the essays too later on during your cycle. I'm a Service to School ambassador for members pursuing their undergrad lol so I have some contacts at Service to School as well.

Good luck man and keep me posted! Vets help vets!
