A veteran player convinces his friend to try out HotS 2.0, and they finish a game together. This conversation follows.

Hi everybody. First of all i want to be clear about being rewarded retroactively: I'm really thankful, that's free stuff out of nowhere and Blizzard come out with a really good idea, even if there's a cap (which seems ok to me).

That being said, the leveling system is far from good. I did some quick numbers and that's what I got:

Grind Experience Account level Normal chests Rare chests Epic chests
50 heroes at 5 81250000 200 200 40 8
50 heroes from 6 to 8 75000000 100 100 20 4

Although they may not be 100% precise, in my opinion is easy to see the deal: someone who starts a new account and grinds all heroes just to level 5 is able to catch the amount of rewards that veteran accounts recieve + those that would get gaining similar experience. And from that point, is evident that new accounts would be able to earn chests fasters than veterans. Look at it this way: what if they don’t give anything at all to veterans? Do we agree new accounts would be in a favorable spot, just because veterans need more experience to get the same things? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that veterans should get more than newbies, but just as unfair as it would seem to me, it’s also this way, giving more to the new ones. As a few people have pointed out in some posts, a really easy way to solve this could be to ask just a flat amount of experience for every level so anyone could grind at the same speed no matter the account. That's just an option, but what seems clear to me is there IS a problem, and it can be fixed.
