Vettel vs Hahmilton: Why double standards for judging the two greats of this generation? Need explanation.

The only reason why people wanted Raikkonen to go, was because of the fact that they considered both Raikkonen and Vettel under performing the car in 2018, as almost all english journalists considered ferrari the fastest car

Well, they did underperform. Vettel made quite a lot of mistakes which actually flattered Kimi a lot. I mean, out of the 8 races Kimi managed to beat Vettel, how many of them were down to pure pace and how many of them were down to Vettels mistakes? We have Azerbaijan, USA, Italy, Japan, France and Austria where Vettel made mistakes. Then there is also China where Verstappen ruined Vettels race. So basically one race where he outperformed him on pure pace (Brazil) out of the 8 ones. If Vettel would have performed on a similar level like 2017, I think the title would have been decided in the last race imo.
