Victim blaming

I do agree with you on the socialization, but I personally wouldn't take the risk myself. To each their own of course, and I have nothing against guard breeds like I do fighting breeds, considering they're on completely different levels when it comes to damage output and unpredictability, but I'm just paranoid I guess. I cherish my dogs, and the thought of one being put down because of something like that genuinely scares me. It's a big reason as to why I prefer breeds that are more bark than bite.

Again though, to each their own. Some here would disagree with me, and that's okay, but I don't think guard breed owners are necessarily a problem, at least not to the extent that Pit owners are. I've never met an irresponsible Chow owner, same goes for Shar Peis and Akitas. I've never personally met a Rottweiler or Doberman owner, but my mother has and they're just the same way as the ones previously mentioned. They know what their dogs are capable of and they take precautions. I have lived in a town full of Pits almost my whole life and I have yet to meet a Pit owner who is genuinely responsible.
