Question for a "liberal dog" that's from KSA, a country where if you start a liberal movement, you'll end up like Raif Badawi.
My question, is it the job of a muslim in the US or Canada to see that Raif Badawi gets out of prison?
If your answer's yes, and they all share the guilt for a case like this. Why stop there? Every Christian should do something against homophobia in a country like Italy. Every muslim should join a military that fights ISIS. Every Muslim and every Jew should do something against every human rights violation committed by both sides In Israel.
Yes, some muslims are exaggerating by crying to the media about every little thing. However, when something like this happens. By your logic, it's okay, because in muslim majority countries they discriminate against LGBT minorities.. Well, I'm a "liberal dog" that stands with the LGBT minority in my muslim majority country. I also stand with other people that I don't see eye to eye with on every issue. I'm an ex-shia muslim. I don't agree with a lot of the shia muslim's views. But, I'm willing to say that they do face discrimination.
By your logic, if someone's against something like the LGBT community, they don't deserve rights? And then you call the left regressive?
Whether you like it or not, muslims have rights, the LGBT community has rights. They may not agree with each other. However, you can't choose the one you like more and strip the rights from the other. As long as they disagree with out violence, it's not anyone's problem.
by the logic of the post. Let's not care what muslims from the west think. They should fix my part of the world [the middle east] before they have rights. Well, I don't expect them to do so, and I don't expect christians to lose rights until they fix the westboro baptist church or the KKK.
I won't defend Islam, because I don't defend a fascist ideology, and I stand against it. But, I would defend the right people have of believing in whatever they want. As long as they don't force it on anyone else.
