Victoria Police officers' pants splitting due to poor quality, union says

The problems reported in this article are the same ones we had when our corporate trialled new polo shirts. They also charged $25 for each one and it was appalling. Luckily my region is not part of the trial.

Another one they changed suppliers and the first button was moved slightly down. While that may not seem an issue, the top button was never done up because the neck size on all of them was too small for everyone and the second button was just high enough to make it acceptable. Now it's only just acceptable but a bit worse if you're a woman. This is in addition to threads becoming loose for the pockets.

No, you don't HAVE to get them made here. Just pay a bit extra and don't get the cheapest supplier. It makes you as a company look bad if the clothes you supply your employees isn't of good quality, I wish companies understood that. And for what? To save a few dollars? They're looking for efficiencies in the wrong area.
