VIDEO: ASU student sues school after losing job over anti-BLM tweet

The dean of my college as well as the marketing director and provost tracked me down, linked my post history to the employee directory, and shared my Reddit account with a large group. I was terminated for sharing internal meeting notes in r/ASU and they never even confirmed with me that it was actually me. Laid me off during a pandemic but put “without cause” on my termination letter so I couldn’t fight them. Also threatened to kick me out of my grad program if I tried to appeal or take it to an attorney for wrongful termination. The whole mess soured my entire view of ASU and they will be getting exactly $0 from me after I graduate.

The whole “I was posting anonymously” thing doesn’t really work because they can fire anyone for anything they want as long as its not discriminatory or retaliation.
