Video from hallway of Uvalde school shooting

When someone walks in the door with a loaded AR15, fingers on the trigger and are ready to shoot... my first thought isn't: where's my gun, so I can go get it from the locked drawer, load the magazine, turn off the safety, aim it, shoot at the guy who might be wearing body armor, who will undoubtedly be targeting me first because he knows I have a gun

It'd be: run and hide.

Why? Because I'm not suicidal. There is no chance I'd be ready to take on the attacker who has the element of surprise and is ready for the attack, which I wasn't.

It's not like the teacher was going to be ducking behind their desk, gun drawn and ready to fire the second the attacker walks through the door...

The "good guy with a gun" delusion is strong.
