This video just started me down a rabbit trail that led to a musical epiphany and almost spiritual experience.

For a long time I’ve been a radio guy. If it’s not a hit, I’m not hearing it. Largely because music has been really awful for a while, so I’m not really giving anything a chance.

But I really liked MGMTs first album. Assumed they fell off the map. After seeing this I decided to check out their newer albums.

Oh. My. God. What have I been listening to? Is there music this incredible being made all the time and I’m not just hearing it because I’m in a bubble?

I just heard Little Dark Age for the first time 20 minutes ago. I haven’t had a song hit me like this in nearly 20 years. I’m just in awe. I can’t wait to really dive into the whole album now. But I’m shook. I didn’t think music could do this to me anymore.

What else am I missing out on?
