It turns you into a STD Hypochondriac! Years ago I had something you know...pop up. As soon as I noticed it I went into panic mode. It was a sunday afternoon I went to the Urgent care because I was having a damn panic attack over it. The doc looks at it, steps out of the room for awhile comes back in and says yep, that's HSV. We'll take some tests to confirm but I'm confident that's what it is. I went home to the worst night of my life, just absolutely fucking terrible.

The next day around 11 AM I get a phone call from another DR at the office (it was a family, mom dad son, all docs). He wants me to come back in again. I get there, it's the dad DR who called me. With son DR in the room he examines as well, asks his son to follow him for a moment. 30 seconds later he comes back in alone and says "My son is heart DR, he is great with heart, not so good with anything else. I have seen hundreds of cases of herpes, that's not it. Not at all. You have <insert medical term for harmless infection>. Take this prescription, in 10 days you good as new."

I was so happy I didn't even pay attention to the fact that I paid 2 co pays.
