This video says so much about religion and religious arguments

I just don't know why you can't see that religious people aren't all atheist-hating, bigoted, unintelligent, or closed minded.

Love the Everest-sized strawman. Where do I say anything even remotely like this? Oh yeah, I don't.

The stuff that goes through this sub is 90% derogatory of religious people

Bullshit. Go to the front page right now and tell me what specific posts are unfairly "derogatory of religious people." Yes, this sub is often critical of harmful religious beliefs and behavior. If you can't see the difference, that's on you.

a big head about being so smart that they figured out that religion is probably all wrong

What you're witnessing is frustration. It's frustrating to have these same moronic conversations over and over. It's frustrating to have to explain to a grown-up why it's not reasonable to believe in fairy tales.

Why is it wrong or bad for people to believe something if they're not hurting anyone else

If they're not hurting anyone else. That's the key phrase here. Remember that content you dismissed as being "derogatory of religious people?" The purpose of that is explain to you how religion is harming people. Read the FAQ and spend some time LISTENING and COMPREHENDING. If you don't see how religion is harming people, you haven't taken 5 minutes to open your eyes and look.

and it helps them in some way?

I would argue that it's not nearly as helpful as you think. Religion gives people the illusion they have a problem, and then gives people the illusion it's helping them. I would argue that religion's help is superficial and ultimately harmful. It's poison posing as medicine. But frankly, I don't have the patience to get into this with you right now.

Being human is more important than being right.

The benefit of being right is that you're not harming yourself and others. That's why being right matters.

Also, please tell me that my youth director was not a reasonable man. He's reasonable. He's religious.

He is not being reasonable in regards to his religious beliefs. How many times do I have to repeat this before it penetrates your thick cranium?

is because of how so many atheists have 0 respect for religious people.

We have zero respect for harmful religious beliefs and behavior. Quit conflating this with disrespect towards people.

Goddamn, this is like talking to a wall.
