Lazy. Nearly every other race has clans that look wildly different, and even those who don't at least have a gender choice, and more visual difference between them than just their ears. Judging from this and a full body picture posted in this thread it looks like they just randomly split up body options to make a clan.

I'll never accept 'lore' as a reason for a gender lock. "in the lore" since ff12? This is ff14, not 12. And there are many ways they could have had new lore for male characters. Never, ever going to side on the "less choice" of mmos, unless there is a very, very good reason.

But really, you could keep the gender locks, I mean its not a BIG deal, at least the clans look super unique from one another.. Oh. Oh no. Oh dear.
