Vinyl noob question: Should I be concerned about this inconsistency of RPM or is it typical?

It's sort of a personal preference thing. If it holds that speed consistently (such that you're not hearing wavering in pitch) and you don't mind that it's not at exactly the correct pitch, then who cares? When I had an AT-LP60 as my main turntable and I discovered it was running too fast/off pitch, I became obsessive about fixing it (I'm finnicky about pitch, as a musician). Bear in mind that I hardly noticed it until I compared a vinyl copy of one of my favorite albums to a digital recording, so it's not like I have perfect pitch or anything. Just couldn't un-hear it once I noticed it. Anyway, I ultimately ended up getting two direct drive Technics turntables because I never wanted speed issues ever again. So TL;DR: it only matters if you think it does.
