Is violent revolution absolutely necessary to create a Communistic society?

I agree that we do live in a more fluid system of law than in the past but an important component to this concept is I feel like people believe that just cause it's law it's permanent. This is a big problem because it prohibits people's minds by making them think some things are just unchangeable. I now notice that most of my ideas are very much so less economic and political but social and psychological.

The main differences between socialism and communism for me is class and nationalism. Socialism allows space for nationalism which I believe separates people almost as much as class. Hitler's government was a form of national socialism and it created an unequal and hateful regime that declared the vast majority of the world's people its enemy. Socialism also has more bad track record because of the failed states that claimed to be communist but really weren't. The authoritarian regimes become less and less socialist over time such as the USSR and China. This brings me to my next point which is at the end of my being that you have to give all production to the people and try to end social classes in an agreeable manner. Whether I'm a socialist, a communist, or just liberal depends on the day but all my opinions are based around these ideas.
