Virginia's $40 Toll Road Really Should Be the Future of Driving

I-90 being tolled has also significantly reduced the economic benefit that road could have to the east-west upstate corridor.

Do you have anything to back that up? In the 20 years I spent in the area, I heard a lot of drivel, but that's a new one.

Its tolls are routinely raided to fund various 'slush' projects that the pols have (some good, some bad - but anything which avoids regular spending oversight is bad).

Again, some facts would be nice. A court struck down the plan to use tolls to pay for canal maintenance. In 2020, some is going to go towards maintain the Tappan Zee bridge. The rest goes back into road maintenance, and it's all good infrastructure spending.

I-90s continued tolling is not anywhere near as rosy as your portraying it.

I-90 tolling is great when dealing with facts. If you're going to rely on a bunch of unsupported conjecture, then sure, you can be pissed.
